Why did you choose to #BecomeABattler?
When looking at colleges, I wanted to find a school that offered a great biology program and an excellent athletic department. I discovered that Alderson Broaddus offered both. I fell in love with the campus on my first visit. A school that offered small class sizes, a small campus, and one on one time with professors is what I found here on the mountaintop. Alderson Broaddus has become my home away from home.
What is the BEST reason to attend Alderson Broaddus?
The best reason to attend AB is the atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and always have a smile on thier face. The one on one interactions with professors and staff are amazing.
What will you do after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to pursue graduate-level study to further my passion for biology. Once I have my Ph.D., I plan to move south and become a professor.

I love the atmosphere of a smaller school. The students, teachers, and faculty are all able to make connections with each other-- no one is just another random face. The people you meet here become your family: they build you up, recognize your success, and want you to succeed with them.
Play Fair was my favorite activity I have attended to so far! I was so nervous during orientation week, and Play Fair was the perfect icebreaker between me and all of the other Freshmen. I had so much fun meeting other students, singing show intros, and playing games; two and a half hours has never flown by so quickly!
Put yourself out there. College is an opportunity to find yourself and grow. Personal growth does not happen in places of comfort-- push yourself to be a little uncomfortable.
