Bucklew represents AB as guest speaker with the Higher Learning Commission

Alderson Broaddus University Provost Dr. Andrea Bucklew represented the University as a guest speaker in a webinar sponsored by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) entitled ‘Exploring New Business Models’ earlier this month.

“Alderson Broaddus University values its relationship with the Higher Learning Commission,” affirms AB University President Dr. Tim Barry. “Additionally, we are most appreciative that HLC recognizes the significant steps we’ve taken to foster sustainability at this level. We value a continuing partnership with HLC as we encounter and mitigate significant challenges for growth in American contemporary higher education.

HLC hosted a series of four webinars spotlighting options for improving an institution’s financial outlook. Each webinar featured industry experts and institutional leaders, presenting national and local perspectives on strategies for financial sustainability. Bucklew presented with co-speaker Louis Soares, Chief Learning & Innovation Officer at the American Council on Education. The online workshops offer intensive, hands-on learning opportunities for individual professionals and teams of colleagues.

“It was an honor to be asked to share AB’s story with our fellow institutions,” explains Bucklew. “I hope that those who participated in the webinar series will find inspiration in the strategic actions taken by Alderson Broaddus to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of higher education.”
