ABU Phi Beta Lambda earns two state-wide awards and nine state first place finishers
Philippi, W.Va. – The Alderson Broaddus University Phi Beta Lambda Chapter competed at the West Virginia State Leadership Conference on April 9, 2018 in Charleston, W.Va. and qualified 16 members for the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, Md., June 23-26.
Not only did members of the chapter have success individually, but the Alderson Broaddus Phi Beta Lambda was named West Virginia’s Outstanding Chapter of the Year as well as the Outstanding Community Service Chapter.
“I think this speaks volumes to the quality of the students and education at Alderson Broaddus,” said Phi Beta Lambda Chapter President Jeremy Linaburg. “You get the to students from our University going to this competition and it isn’t just Business majors. We had Mass Communications and Computer Science majors there as well so I think it speaks volumes about our entire University.”
In all the Alderson Broaddus chapter brought home 20 top three finishes at the state level with nine individuals or teams earning top honors. For a full listing of the events and place winners there is a list below.
