AB’s Partnership with espnW Continues

PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The sport management program at Alderson Broaddus University, housed in the College of Business and Management, would like to announce its showing dates of Nine for IX film series this semester. In a partnership with espnW, ESPN Films released copies of the film series for educational purposes and Alderson Broaddus University will continue showcasing these films with discussions during this spring semester.

Viewings and discussions are open to everyone on campus and in the Philippi community, offering “teachable moments and powerful lessons in sports.” Discussions will be led by Lara Foster, interim assistant professor of sport management.

“Last semester we had a good turnout of students for most of the documentaries,” said Foster. “We’d love to get some community members involved in our discussions pertaining to the history of sport, women in sport, and the triumphs of these outstanding historical figures.”

Documentary viewings will be shown on the following dates, in the Withers-Brandon Lecture Hall. Alderson Broaddus University students, faculty, staff, and the local community are invited to these events.
