Alderson Broaddus University (AB) was recently named one of the Best Bachelor Degree Colleges in West Virginia and Best Master’s Degree Colleges in West Virginia by the online student resource, University Headquarters (HQ). Ranked fourth overall in each category, AB achieved the highest ranking among private, nonprofit institutions in West Virginia.
“Deciding on a college or university to attend is one of the biggest decisions a young adult will ever make,” explains AB University Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Andrea Bucklew. “Gathering sound, objective, and unbiased information can help set reasonable expectations for students before making that final decision. The bachelor’s degree and master’s degree rankings by HQ only confirm what everyone at AB already knows…Alderson Broaddus University utilizes small class sizes, low faculty-to-student ratios, passionate faculty, and our close-knit community to educate our students to be successful contributors to society.”
According to the HQ website, each college in the rankings is assessed using the same data sources, making the comparisons even and consistent. Ranking factors include the cost of tuition, admission rates, retention rates, graduation rates, the total number of programs offered, online programs offered, student loan default rates, diplomas awarded, and the percentage of students receiving financial aid.
