Alderson Broaddus University has named Dr. Gregory L. Cascione as interim Vice President of Institutional Advancement. Dr. Cascione brings extensive senior leadership experience in Development, Alumni Relations, and Advancement to AB.

Bucklew. “Dr. Cascione brings a wealth of experience that will help AB to strengthen alumni engagement, renew fundraising efforts, and generally provide a new chapter in the Advancement Office.”
With over thirty years of experience advancing philanthropy in higher education as well as leading and managing complex departments, Dr. Cascione’s expertise includes annual giving programs, major gift programs, planned giving programs, and capital campaigns.
He also has significant experience in re-building departments, mentoring and coaching staff, and has actively participated in multiple university cabinets during his career.
Having graduated from Fordham University, Dr. Cascione began his career in development there. He has since worked in advancement for various institutions throughout the United States, including public, private, and religiously affiliated institutions.
Cascione holds a master’s in theological studies from Harvard, an M.B.A. from the University of Edinburgh (U.K.), and a Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Michigan. He is the author of Philanthropists in Higher Education: Institutional, Biographical and Religious Motivations for Giving. He has been a frequent speaker and lecturer on topics related to institutional growth and strategy through effective advancement programs.
