Sign up for a New Student Registration Day
This registration is a very important step to finalize your path to Alderson Broaddus University. We want to prepare you academically and financially for the upcoming year as a service to you as a new student. During each day, you and your family will have the opportunity to:
- Meet with faculty advisors to register for fall classes;
- Prepare financially by hearing from our Financial Aid and Business offices;
- Obtain your official Battler email account, which will give you access to important campus information over the summer months prior to your arrival on campus in the fall;
- Learn about the housing and roommate selection process from the Office of Student Affairs and Residence Life staff;
- Get your official AB Student ID;
- Attend special parent-only informational sessions and discussions.
Please complete and submit the form below to pick the date that works best for you. We strongly encourage every new student to attend a registration day on campus. However, if you live more than 4 hours away and cannot travel to campus, please call the Office of Admissions to learn about alternative registration options.
NOTICE: If selecting Off-Campus, students must meet the Off-Campus eligibility requirements.
If you have questions about this information, please call the Office of Admissions at 800.263.1549.

My favorite thing about AB is:
How easy it is to communicate with faculty and staff. AB is a welcoming environment for students, staff, and faculty.
My favorite spot on campus is:
Pickett Library
My best piece of advice to a student in the college search process is:
Make a pros and cons list when visiting and looking at schools. You need to attend a college or university that is a good fit for you, and the best way to make those decisions is to visit multiple campuses.

Registrar, Assistant Librarian
Saundra Hoxie has been the Registrar of Alderson Broaddus since 1997. Saundra graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and in 1980 with a Master of Library Science degree. In 1990 Saundra and her husband David moved to Philippi when he accepted the position of Director of Library Services. Prior to being appointed as Registrar, Saundra served as AB’s assistant librarian.
As Registrar, Saundra has helped assist the work of many administrative bodies and committees. She views the position of Registrar as not only the chief custodian of the University’s academic records but also as a facilitator helping faculty, the administration and especially students achieve their goals. In 2014 Saundra was the recipient of an Alderson Broaddus University honorary Doctor in Education degree.
Saundra has six adult children (including two AB graduates) and is the grandmother of seven.
