Admission to the Alderson Broaddus University’s Master of Science in Information Technology Administration

Alderson Broaddus University has established admission requirements for the students whose education preparation evidences the potential for a successful performance at the graduate level. All admissions materials must be received in the Office of Executive Degree Programs prior to rendering an admission decision and enrollment in coursework.

Admission requirements are:

  • Completed Graduate Application with payment of required Application Fee – $30 (non-refundable).
  • Evidence of an earned bachelor’s degree from an institution equivalent to a US accredited school. Evidence required:
    • Official transcripts and evaluations are required for enrollment and will need to be sent directly from the University(ies) you attended and the Evaluators who have evaluated your transcripts. Please have official transcripts from any institution of higher learning you have attended sent directly from the respective institution(s) to:

  1. Transcripts must include the degree and date on which it was conferred. All graduate work is verified by official transcripts.
  2. Any international course work completed must have official transcript evaluations completed and submitted to the University by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (naces.org); preferred evaluation services are as follows:
    • World Education Services (WES)
    • Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE)
    • International Education Research Foundation (IERF)
    • Educational Perspectives (EP)
  1. Master’s degree admission requires a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale from a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally or nationally accredited institution or an institution approved through the International Evaluation firms listed above. *Conditional admission may be applicable
  2. Students must be in good standing in order to be admitted.
    1. If a student has been on academic probation for more than one semester in an unfinished program at Alderson Broaddus University or has been academically suspended from a program at Alderson Broaddus University or any other institution of higher education, the student is not eligible for admission into a new program at Alderson Broaddus University.
    2. Graduation from a program in which a student has been on academic probation causes those probation semesters to be forgiven in a newly admitted program.
  3. Documentation of language fluency for non-native speakers of English, such as a score report from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Duolingo English Test is a requirement for admission. This requirement is waived for students who have completed bachelor’s or master’s level coursework in the U.S. at a regionally accredited institution and if exempt from testing according to the SEVIS Approved List of English Speaking Countries. The minimum acceptable TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo English Test scores for admission are:
    1. Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) – 79
    2. IELTS – 6
    3. Duolingo English Test – 95
  4. International students applying for the executive program and seeking F1 VISA status must provide a copy of their current passport.

Admission to the Executive Master’s Program is completed by a review of the above documents. Upon admission to the program, a non-refundable $250 deposit is required for course registration.
