The word “alumni” is taken directly from its Latin origins and the noun forms are gender specific.

Note: The word “alum” does not refer to a person, so please do not use when referring to AB alumni.

GRADUATION YEAR FORMATTING

Use a backward (top heavy) apostrophe before the class year to indicate the omitted “19” or “20.”

(By typing in two consecutive apostrophes, you can simply delete the first one that faces forward to get the one that faces backward).
