As a Battler, you'll have opportunities for academics, research, missions and more; near campus and afar.

LIVE … LEARN … TRAVEL in Europe from the Alderson Broaddus “Semester in Europe” campus located in the quaint, 17th century Haus Wartenberg in beautiful and historic Salzburg, Austria.  Experience first-hand what others just see in films and read about in books!

The goal of the Semester in Europe program is to provide the students with in-depth academic and cultural experiences among the peoples of Europe that will better prepare them for careers in the 21st century.  The program emphasizes academics in an international environment and students are expected to integrate their travel experiences with the academic work.

On the Salzburg campus, students take from 12 to 18 hours of classes.  These include interdisciplinary, seminar-style classes designed by our faculty to be engaging and span several aspects of contemporary European culture, society, environment and politics. Classes are held Monday through Thursday noon.

In addition, students receive, as part of their program fees, Eurail passes which allow them to travel all over Europe from Thursday noon through Sunday evening.  They see such sites as the Coliseum in Rome, the Statute of David in Florence, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Big Ben in London, and more.  The AB “Semester in Europe” enables students to EXPERIENCE Europe!
