Music Auditions

The Music Department at Alderson-Broaddus College requires prospective students to audition in order to be admitted to the program as music majors. The Music Department Audition Guidelines give valuable information as to what the audition will be like and what to prepare.

Auditions are held throughout the academic year and special audition weekend dates are posted, so incoming and transferring music students can know well in advance how to plan for this important audition. Studio faculty can be contacted at any time to schedule a free lesson to help with preparation.

Note: The Music Department Audition Guidelines apply only to prospective music majors. They do not apply to prospective students who are interested in participating in ensembles or taking lessons but who are majoring in other disciplines.
