All students planning to major in music must be accepted into the department on the basis of an audition. The Prospective Music Major Questionnairehelps us find out about your interests and experiences in music prior to your audition.

A music faculty member or current A-B College piano major will be available to accompany your audition.  It is recommended that you send the accompaniment part to the music department by mail several weeks before your audition date.  A warm up/rehearsal time with the accompanist will be arranged prior to your audition.

Near the bottom of the form below, please provide the name, address, and phone number of a person other than a relative who is professionally qualified to comment on your musical talent and achievement.  (For example, high school band/choir director or private instructor).
