Ms. Lesa Jordan

Ms. Lesa Jordan is an Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department. Her primary responsibilities
include teaching Maternal-Child Nursing. She also teaches Research in Nursing and Leadership and
Management. She has been with the department since 2003. First as a part-time faculty. In 2005, she
began teaching full time. She is involved in the traditional BSN and the LPN-BSN tracks at Alderson-
Broaddus University. She also serves as Director of the International Nursing Partnership with Arellano
University in Manila, Philippines.

Jordan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1988 at Alderson Broaddus University. She
continued on to the Frontier School of Family Nursing and Midwifery in Hyden, KY for her Certified
Nurse Midwifery Certificate. In 2001, she received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Case Western
Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ms. Jordan maintains her expertise working part-time as a staff nurse at Stonewall Jackson Memorial
Hospital in Weston, WV. She is an advisor to the student nursing organization, Alpha Beta Nu. She is
also a member of the National Student Nurse’s Association (NSNA) and the National League for Nursing
(NLN).

As an active member of her community, Ms. Jordan serves as the Director of the Highland District Cub
Scout Day Camp. She also serves as the treasurer for Hands and Hearts for Christ, a medical/surgical
mission team to Belize, Central America. She has 2 children. Her daughter is a Senior in High School and
her son is a student at Alderson Broaddus University double majoring in History/Political Science. They
enjoy camping, hiking and traveling.
