Mr. John Hicks

John Hicks is Assistant Professor of History of Political Science.  He was named A-B's “Professor of the Year”  in 2002 and since then has twice been nominated for West Virginia Professor of the Year by A-B Student Government Association. He is an A-B College alumnus (History and Christian Studies).  Prior to coming back to A-B College, he worked for the West Virginia Humanities Council as Director of Programs and Grants Officer for a number of years, and also for the West Virginia State Archives.  Hicks has three times led A-B's Semester in Europe program.  He was born and raised in Logan, WV.
