Sodexo Makes $1.5 Million Donation to Support Strategic Growth at Alderson Broaddus University

Sodexo, leader in Quality of Daily Life Solutions and campus dining provider for Alderson Broaddus University, made a $1.5 million donation to support initiatives at the college’s Philippi, W.V. campus. Sodexo’s donation will help fund programs outlined in the Alderson Broaddus University strategic plan, a document the college administration is currently creating.

“We are in the midst of a strategic planning process that will shape the future for both the college and the community and we rely on our partners like Sodexo to support our ambitious goals,” Richard Creehan, president, Alderson Broaddus University. “Sodexo understands and supports our plans and the company’s generous donation will help bring our strategic vision to life. For that, I thank them.”

Sodexo, a partner with the college since 1988, announced that a majority of the donated funds will be disbursed in September 2011. Additional funds allocated through this gift will follow in 2013 and 2016.

“Sodexo shares the concerns and goals of its partner Alderson Broaddus University as it boldly steps into a new era,” said Ernie Minor, senior vice president of operations, Sodexo Education - Campus. “We know our partners will transform our donation into a program that will improve student experiences on campus for years to come.”
