Men's Soccer Loses 2-0 to CAL U

A-B men's soccer lost to California University of Pennsylvania 2-0 Saturday at Roadman Park.

CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- Alderson-Broaddus men's soccer lost to California University of Pennsylvania 2-0 Saturday at Roadman Park.

The Vulcans posted the first goal at the 24:15 mark. Junior Christopher Karns gave CAL U its 1-0 advantage with an assist from sophomore Kevin Helbig. Karns recorded a match-high seven shots.

CAL U posted its final goal, an unassisted effort from senior Paul Silvestrone, at 57:59.

Freshman Austin Martin and junior Jose Noriega contributed four of A-B's five shots, two apiece, in the loss.

A-B returns home Wednesday to face Concord University in a return to West Virginia Intercollegiate Conference play at 4 p.m. ET.
