Our first nominated AB All-Star is Lara Foster! She is the intramural program coordinator, resident director for Priestley Hall, and adjunct lecturer in sports management. Foster is being recognized for all the hard work and dedication she has brought to this school the past two years that she has been here.
Foster, as she is more commonly known as on campus, is involved in many things around AB.
“I teach sports management classes, which is something I love doing,” she said. “I am also working on the triatholon, intramurals, secret projects, a spirit club, and keeping my recreational intramural workers connected with the community.”
The triatholon is one of her biggest passions. She really wants to be able to concentrate on the fitness and wellness of the community and thinks that the triatholon is a good way to broadcast it and facilitate those needs.
When told about the award, Foster commented, “I don’t deserve this recognition anymore than all the dedicated faculty and staff at this University. I would’ve been ok with a good cup of coffee!”
Aside from all of that, Foster explains why she has the encouragement and drive to go above and beyond. She has always been a hard worker and doesn’t like mediocrity. She enjoys the fact that she can be exceptional here at ABU because “being at Alderson Broaddus University and being a Battler means being part of a unique family that strives for excellence and is dedicated to each other on and off the playing field.”
Be sure to congratulate Foster when you see her around campus!Alderson Broaddus All-Stars is a recognition program for current students and staff. To nominate someone, please click here.
