Alderson Broaddus Women’s Cross Country Team Finishes WVIAC Championship in Fifth Place, Pair Earn All-Conference Honors

GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Alderson Broaddus women’s cross country earned a pair of All-Conference selections and a top five finish in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships held at Seton Hill Saturday.

Freshmen Jenny Brewer and Aly Carpenter earned First Team All-Conference and Second Team honors respectively. Brewer finished the women’s 6k in ninth place, the second best finish for a freshman in this year’s event, and Carpenter completed the run in 14th.

"Jenny and Aly did a great job with both of them going First and Second Team All-Conference," said Head Coach Jesse Weiner. "Our pack helped us claim the fifth place finish and I am happy with everyone."

Ninth Place: Jenny Brewer (Fr., St. Mary’s, W.Va.) -- First Team All-Conference

14th Place: Aly Carpenter (Fr., St. Mary’s, W.Va.) -- Second Team All-Conference

34thPlace: Allison Clevenger (Fr., Upperglade, W.Va.)

36th Place: Rebekah McBride (Jr., Fort Ashby, W.Va.)

57th Place: Andrea Sall (Sr., Parkersburg, W.Va.)
