ALDERSON-BROADDUS STUDENT RECEIVES SCHOLARSHIP
Brandon Rinehart awarded 2013 ACA. Ledford Scholarship for Student Research
PHILIPPI, W.Va. –Alderson-Broaddus is proud to announce that sophomore Brandon Rinehart has been awarded a 2013 Appalachian College Association Colonel Lee B. Ledford Scholarship for Student Research in the amount of $5,420.
“I was excited to find out that I received the Ledford Scholarship,” said Rinehart. “It will allow me to gain experience in scientific research.”
Rinehart is a chemistry and environmental science double major from Lumberport, W.Va. and is anticipated to graduate from A-B in 2015.
In a letter to Rinehart from Dr. Irene Burgess, vice president for academic programs at
Appalachian College Association, she stated, “The Selection Committee was favorably impressed by your application and looks forward to the success of this project as you and your mentor, Professor Aaron Maxwell, begin work on your project. Your work reflects well on your institution and the Appalachian College Association.”
Rinehart will present his project at the 2013 ACA Summit on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 in Knoxville, Tenn.
