‘Dear Graduate’ is a new project developed to provide an opportunity and avenue for families to express sentiments to graduating students.  These messages are sometimes forgotten or left unsaid.  Even for graduates who feel they are honored regularly, it’s touching to read the public expressions of love to their son/daughter.

Family members are invited to submit a brief message to ‘Dear Graduate,’ to honor their son/daughter.  The message should be 100 words or less and contain appropriate language.  In addition, the messages will be displayed for all graduates to enjoy.

Submissions must be received by 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013.

Dear Rachel,

Congratulations on all of your hard work over the past several years.  You have accomplished much during your college experience to be proud of.  Remember those experiences, challenges, and opportunities to build greater memories and take on greater challenges.  We are proud of you, and look forward to what you accomplish next.

Love,

Ben and Jocelyn Keck

Gid,

I know it has been a long road that has brought you to this day, and you should be proud of this great accomplishment.  Just as you have learned how to persevere through the difficult times and enjoy the good times, this is just the beginning of many more great experiences.  I am so proud of you.  Just remember that, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men," (Colossians 3:23).

We love you,

Aaron & Sara

Dear Nicole,

Its Graduation day...you did it!  It seems like only yesterday you were a little girl kicking the ball around at the YMCA and today you graduate from college..WOW!!  As your mother I wanted so many things for you, health, happiness and an education.  Today my only wish is that you could see yourself through my eyes, only then would you know how amazing you are.  You can accomplish anything you dream...so dream big my sweet, wonderful, amazing daughter and may all those dreams come true!  I am so very proud of you! Congratulations!!

Love,

Mom
