Mrs. Carol Sinsel, Associate Professor of Physical Education and Recreation, tenured, is in her 25th year at Alderson Broaddus University. Her primary responsibilities consist of teaching numerous classes in physical education, health, and therapeutic recreation. She has been the chair of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation since 2000. She received the AB Distinguished Alumni Award in 2002.
Sinsel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health from Alderson Broaddus University, a Master of Arts degree from West Virginia University, and a Master of Science degree from West Virginia University. She is a member of AAHPERD, ATRA, WVTRA and the Living Water CMA Church.
Prior to coming to AB, Sinsel served in the Barbour County public schools as a first and second grade teacher, homebound teacher, and as an adapted physical education specialist.
