Students and job-seeking community members invited to speak with local businesses
PHILIPPI, W.Va. –The Office of Career Services at Alderson Broaddus University is hosting its 6th Annual ABU Job and Internship Fair on Wednesday, March 16 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Hamer Campus Center.
The Annual ABU Job and Internship Fair is an outstanding opportunity for businesses to meet with highly qualified candidates that will be able to make significant contributions to their organization as interns or full time employees.
“This year we have also decided to invite members in the community who are looking for jobs to attend along with our students,” said Teresa VanAlsburg, director of career services. “We at ABU look forward to this event every year and are excited to provide businesses with a venue to visit with and collect resumes from students, soon-to-be graduates, and former students, and those in the community who are currently job searching.”
VanAlsburg says there are over 20 businesses participating to date, and a complete list can be found at www.ab.edu/jobfair2016 . Be sure to check the list as it is updated frequently to include participants as they RSVP.
“We realize organizations may not be hiring immediately, but are glad to see that they consider this as an opportunity to get acquainted with the skills that our graduates possess, and to network with our younger students to lay the groundwork for their future employment needs,” said VanAlsburg.
