The Christian Studies major at Alderson-Broaddus College responds to the need for committed, well-educated professionals in various Christian ministries, and to individuals' needs for programs that will prepare them for seminary, for graduate schools of religion, and for church-related professions.
The program's curriculum includes course work in Biblical and theological studies, philosophy and ethics, sociology and psychology, speech, and human resource management, as well as practical experiences through a mentoring program in which students work with ordained ministers in a variety of ministerial settings. Students also can gain valuable service experience by participating in college chapel services, formal and informal Bible study groups on campus, student government, music groups, theatre productions, student publications, the campus radio station, and community service activities.

In the Christian Studies program, as well as throughout the college, your professors will be men and women of faith for whom teaching is a ministry. All of the members of the Christian Studies faculty have excellent academic credentials and are ordained ministers with experience as church professionals.

For more information about the major in Christian Studies, contact Dr. Danny Franke, Associate Professor of Religion and Philosophy, Ph. 304.457.6287.
